Hi, I'm Mel and I am the driving force behind The Homestead Fam, a platform dedicated to growing, preserving, and cooking REAL FOOD!
My husband, daughters, and I live on our 2 acre, Michigan homestead where we encourage everyone to live more sustainably through gardening, preserving, baking, home-cooking, and more.
How it Started
In 2023 my life changed in ways I never imagined. I started sharing about our little life here on our homestead and little did I know, I would soon be turning it into a thriving business.
We now offer cookbooks, a recipe app, homegoods, and are continuously finding ways to help you on your homestead and real food journey.
What's Next?
The Homestead Fam is growing everyday with a goal of being your go-to homestead brand. Our future plans include releasing more cookbooks, offering in depth education, and bringing you even more high-quality homestead products.
The Homestead Fam is more than just me these days. Our shop, fulfilment and creator program are run by Thrive Creators, our commerce partner since 2024 — they handle the operations side so I can keep building The Homestead Fam community with you!
